One of the goals of this project has been to educate decision makers, building professionals, and the general public about the unique green building features of the project. This is being accomplished through tours, hands-on product trainings, and special events including:
- February 5, 2009 – "Behind the Walls Tour – High Performance Walls" given to American Institute of Architects, Santa Barbara Chapter
- April 8, 2010 – "Behind the Scenes of a Platinum LEED for Homes Project" given to American Institute of Architects, Santa Barbara Chapter,
- October 9, 2010 - Habitat for Humanity Tour (200 attendees)
- March 23, 2011 – Environmental Defense Center fundraiser
- June 29, 2011 – Allen Associates’ Green Building workshop
- July 14, 2011: Public Officials tour (40 elected officials and staff members from City of Santa Barbara, County of Santa Barbara)
- Wednesday, August 24, 2011 – Coast Walkable Wednesday Tour
- Wednesday, September 7, 2011 – Bren School Dean’s Council Lunch
- Tuesday, September 13, 2011 – tour for American Planning Association Conference
