Living Green Design Solutions is a family owned business, which was formed May 2009 to provide sustainable products for the building and landscape industry, while facilitating the exchange of knowledge gained by Elders, Studies, Research, Experience and Attendance at Annual Industry related Conferences & Expos.
Co-owner Theodora Michailides has had the good fortune to be in the Landscape Design business for over 15 years creating customized out door spaces, which offer a multitude of sustainable solutions for commercial and residential property owners. Co-owner Dr. Themis Michailides has been practicing Plant pathology at the University of California for twenty four years solving disease problems for the agricultural industry of California and abroad. While, working in these fields has been rewarding for both of them, it did not seem to be an adequate effort towards helping current and future generations protect our natural resources, so wife Theodora Michailides created Living Green Design Solutions to fill this need.

Nationwide Lifts is the United States' leading provider of Home Elevators, Residential Elevator, Dumbwaiters, and Stairlifts. Freedom Green elevators are designed for environmentally-conscious home owners. The size of a cab for a Freedom Green elevator is the size of one for a Freedom 1500, with a 96-inch height and a platform inside with dimensions up to 42 inches by 60 inches. The operation of the system, however, is machine traction drive, which requires only a minimal amount of power to move the cab. The motor has a rate of 2hp, but has variable speeds, and allows for fully automatic operation. Machine traction power does not need a machine room or hydraulic oil. As a result, this type of movement mechanism can reduce energy required by a standard hydraulic elevator by fifty percent. Freedom Green Home elevators have many of the same woods and finishes to have it match the rest of the house. The difference between a Green elevator and other Freedom elevators is that the interior of the cab is made with 100% recycled or recovered wood content. The rest of the paneling in the elevator is made from melamine. |
