WHOBuilders, Designers, Architect's and Landscape Design and Build, Dennis Allen of Allen Associates, Dennis Thompson and Susette Naylor of Thompson Naylor Architects, Margie Grace of Grace Design Associates and Devon Hartman of HartmanBaldwin design/build, Inc. are pleased to announce their new multi-family, green residential development in the City of Santa Barbara, CA. This development is registered for LEED for Homes and is seeking a Platinum level status. WHERELocated on Victoria St. in downtown Santa Barbara, this high profile "California Green Project" offers state-of-the-art conservation without deprivation; a tangible example of cost-effective and environmentally sensitive home building and outfitting with an array of the latest green products. WHATThis multi-unit, upscale, residential development will become a model for green residential building in southern California. These energy efficient and ecologically built residences will demonstrate to the public how homeowners can conserve energy and dollars by adopting and utilizing green building products and services.
WHENThe Victorian home was completed in fall of 2009. The three condominium residences were completed in late spring 2011. In the coming months, educational Home Tours and special events to the trade will occur and attract curious visitors seeking to learn the latest about environmentally friendly building products, appliances, hardware, and services, and the companies supporting this project. Tours will be promoted and advertised, a public relations campaign will include widespread publicity, and special events may include support for a major charitable organization.
