Devon Hartman Bio

 

Devon Hartman is Co-Founder and President of HartmanBaldwin Inc., a fully-integrated Architecture and Construction Company with a staff of 50 in Claremont, CA. Operating since 1979, HartmanBaldwin has been the recipient of more than 40 local and national awards for design/build excellence. These include the Gold Nugget award from the Pacific Coast Building Conference and the Grand Prize Design award from Remodeling Magazine.

HartmanBaldwin has also been featured on HGTV Restore America. Devon is nationally recognized as a leader and frequent speaker and is often requested to speak on the design/build remodeling process and on innovative strategic business solutions within the building industry. He has building experience in France, Peru, Brazil and Egypt. Devon is an expert in energy efficiency and sustainable building issues in the residential and historic restoration sectors and was an invited contributor to the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Development Summit in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the U.S. DOE and the American Comfort Institute (ACI).

Devon is consulting with several cities in Southern California to create programs that dramatically reduce energy use and green house gas emissions. Devon is a Certified Green Building Professional, a LEED® AP and a GreenPoint Rater.

HartmanBaldwin is a certified provider of Home Performance with Energy Star (HPwES), certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and the California Building Performance Contractors Association (CBPCA), and a member of Architecture 2030.

Dennis and Devon have formed a partnership to build a showcase LEED® Platinum, luxury, residential in-fill project in Santa Barbara's Downtown Historic District. It will demonstrate the use and application of an array of state-of-the art building products, equipment and services. This project will be a living example of sustainable building techniques and energy efficiency. It is expected to receive national attention in the press and other related media.
